Little White Lies

As we mentioned earlier in the tutorials, it's a really good idea to imagine yourself as an actress or actor that is playing a part. You will already have your nickname set up on your profile but every now and then, someone may ask you for your real name. Rather than just telling them to sod off 🙂 create a fake real name. For example if you are really Jo from Andover, become Sally from Manchester, or wherever we have set your location to be. They then think you are being open with them (which makes them feel special) and yet you are still keeping your real identity a secret.

Are you in a relationship?

This is something you will probably be asked from time to time.  You may prefer to say you are single rather than talking about your partner.  However, you can also use this to your advantage whether you are single or not.  The guys that you are talking to don't want to hear that you are happily married and had fantastic sex that morning before your partner went off to work!

What they do love is that you are on cam in secret because as much as you love your partner, they just don't pay you any attention any more, they never make you feel sexy or wanted and you hate having to rely on them for money.  Enter your knight in shining armour who will make your day by paying you lots of compliments and up your credits by telling you how he would never treat you like that!!! It can be difficult to bad mouth someone you love, so just like you invented a persona for yourself, invent one for your partner.  Maybe base it on someone you don't particularly like as this will make it much easier to say mean things about him or her.

Things you WILL be asked to do, but you may not want to...

You will regularly be asked to go cam2cam (c2c).  If this is something you are not comfortable with doing, you can of course say no straight away.  Although you will be able to keep someone chatting for longer if you pretend that you are happy to, but you just can't get it to work!! oh no! In this scenario you can do a couple of things to wriggle out of it.

Firstly you could say that you have tried to do it earlier but it kept crashing your computer and then you had trouble getting back online, so you don't want to risk it.

You can also say "Sure, i'll send you an invite" then pretend to click on a few things and ask them if they received it? when they say no, say "ok, let me try again" when they still don't get the invitation from you just reply with "oh, it must not be working.. i'll try again in 10 minutes or so"..

Audio

This is also something that will be asked of you regularly.  If you are happy from them to hear you, we suggest saving this for a private chat after they have spent a bit of time with you.  The reason being, it takes longer to type and time is money!

If you don't want to do audio then you can either say that your mic is broken or if you have said you are in a relationship, that you have to be quiet in case your partner hears you.

Meets?

If they then become one of your regulars and ask again in the future, you can just tell them you have met someone now, you're not sure how serious it is and you want to see how things go first before committing to anything.

You will more than likely have absolutely no intention of meeting anyone, but you can keep them chatting without agreeing to it.

Please remember, that guys will tell you anything that you want to hear to get what they want from you! You may get the odd email request asking for you to send them a video.  There is no way to actually do this through Adultwork so they may ask you send it direct to them. DO NOT DO THIS.. it is strictly forbidden to go outside of the Adultwork platform.  If you are caught doing so, they will remove your profile and ban you from the site!

Instead suggest that they visit you on cam.  The same goes for sending you money.. NEVER give out any personal details, instead ask that they give you a tip rather than sending you money direct.

I want to buy you a gift..

Again, never give out any personal details to receive gifts from clients.  There is a section on the site where you can add items to your wish list that can then be seen on your profile. If someone would like to buy you something, ask that they visit your wish list and purchase you a pressie from there.

By remaining inside the Adultwork network you are keeping your personal details safe.  There are a lot of generous people using the AW site.. but it's just not worth the risk!
