Getting Started

Welcome to the Desire team, we are so excited to have you on board! If you have found yourself here then you have already made the decision to start earning mega money by becoming a webcam model.  Like any job it can be very daunting when you first start as you are not sure how everything works.  That is to be expected, but that is why we are here.  We will give you all the advice we possibly can to make you feel confident in your journey. If you read through all of the material within the tutorials section and watch the instructional videos that we have created, you will be well on your way to understanding how the whole process works, and it is always here to come back to at any time.

If, after reading through everything you still have questions, we will have already added you to WhatsApp and we are always available to help you.

There are several reasons why we use WhatsApp...

Firstly, it gives us the ability to add you to a group of models who are already online.  They have a wealth of knowledge and its a really good place to just drop in and have a chat, post updates of your progress, ask questions and generally spread positivity.

Also, WhatsApp is end to end encrypted.. basically that means that not even WhatsApp can see your messages and pictures, so it keeps your information completely safe.

It also gives you direct access to us outside of our usual business hours... so we are always available to help you.

The groups can be very popular so it may be handy to mute the notifications and just check in when you want to.  Just keep in mind, that if you do post a question in the group that is meant for the admin, please make sure you tag us in the post, otherwise we may miss it.

You should have already been added to all of our contacts but if there is anything you are missing, please let us know.

In short, whenever is the best time for you.  You have to be able to work this into your own schedule and what works for some, might not be possible for you. It's not all about the late nights either.  Monday afternoon can be just as busy as a Friday night.

What we do recommend is going online for at least 3 or 4 hours at a time.  We suggest this for a number of reasons.

1. One hour can be very different to the next.  It could have been super quiet and then all of a sudden you get that one client that trebles your credits for that day! So set yourself a time target and try and stick to it the best you can.
2. Dipping on and off cam for an hour here and there just isn't going to work.  You need to give it the time to let clients find you and then hopefully become a regular visitor to you. They won't be able to do that if you are not around much.
3. Adultwork prioritise active profiles.  If they see regular and consistent action on your profile, they will put you higher up in search results.

By working out a schedule of minimum hours that you are going to be available on cam, you will work out the hours and times that work best for you. Then, if you want to do a little extra, then go for it.  It doesn't have to be set in stone though, play around with days and times and make a note of your earnings.  That way you will be able to look back and see what worked best for you.

• You will need a device with a built-in webcam, if you do not have this you can also buy a plugin camera.
• You will need a good internet connection and we recommend upload speeds of 10mbps.  If your wifi signal isn't great, you can also hotspot from a mobile device but we only recommend doing this, if you have an unlimited data package.
• Good lighting is also necessary in order to show you in your best light and give your clients a good view.  A ring light is a good and cheap option and there are several types available through Amazon etc.
